Remote working and daily online meetings have become routine for many of us in recent years. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the transition to remote work, and most employees currently appreciate working from home. A study conducted across five countries, however, reveals that while videoconferencing may affect positively the ability to make decisions, it inhibits creative idea generation due to the narrower cognitive focus prompted by screen interactions.
